Appendix 2 to item 5, Lead Member for Economy

Varying slippage and delays were experienced across the package as a result of Covid-19, resulting in consultations being delayed which had knock-on impacts on schemes progressing through to construction. Subsequently, pedestrian crossings at the Ridge, Sandown Primary School, Battle Road and Collington Avenue have finished construction. Hastings and Bexhill bus stop upgrades have been delivered and the Hastings Wayfinding, Albert Road and Cooden Drive packages, as well as the mini roundabouts at Beeching Road and Sackville Road have all been completed.

Petition: Installation of a pedestrian crossing and traffic calming measures in A271 Amberstone, Hailsham

A copy of the petition is available in the Members’ Room. 1.3. The A271 Amberstone, from its junction with Battle Road north-eastwards to a point north-east of Amberstone bridge, is subject to a 30mph speed limit as indicated by the system of street lighting.
