The funding will finance the building of a purpose designed DDA compliant (The Disability Discrimination Act) group therapy space that can accommodate group activities for up to 20 people or for 2 groups of 10 patients. The Sara Lee Trust services are embedded in the local healthcare pathways for cancer and end-of-life care. Patient referrals to its services are accessible through the Clinical Commissioning Group dedicated referral software platform which is used by local referrers. The group receive referrals from hospital consultants GPs local cancer specialists and Macmillan nurses.

Funding was provided to expand the Community Therapy Service (supporting patients unable to attend therapy hubs) to meet increasing demand.
