His Place
What it does
His Place serves the community of Hastings, St Leonards and further a field, through social activities, workshops, education and welfare support, addiction & MH support groups, volunteering opportunities and church activities. The services are provided through our multi-use community building which includes an Art Cafe & Community Centre, Charismatic Church, Theatre and Conference facilities.
What its grants paid for
£5k from Sussex Community Foundation
Funding was provided to continue running their weekly open workshop and children/youth workshops.
£10k from Sussex Community Foundation
Funding was provided to enable them to continue to offer their services with the cost of living increase.
£250k from The National Lottery Heritage Fund: "Make a Joyful Noise - Saving Robertson Street Congregational Church, Hastings and its Music Heritage"

£10k from The National Lottery Community Fund: Mental Health Help Hastings
The funding will be used to continue running the online and face to face support for the mental health of the community in an area of East Sussex. This support will reduce need for social services and mental health services due to peer support improvement.
£5k from Sussex Community Foundation
Funding was provided to purchase tablets used to deliver education and social activities, as well as providing access for signposting and support help with service users.
£10k from The National Lottery Community Fund: Community Hub For All
The organisation will refurbish their community venue to ensure improved access for all to a variety of community activities and services with a view to providing a safe place and improving community engagement.
