The Queens Road Quarter reflects the numerous creative businesses that operate in the area, independent bars, cafes and shops work together to draw people up from the town’s main shopping area by promoting their unique offer. 4.57. There are also important areas of specialist and independent businesses on Trinity Street, Claremont and the non-pedestrianised section of Robertson Street extending into White Rock.

Museum Update Report March 2026

Stories include a Medieval Floor Tile from Old St Helen’s Church, Hastings First World War Refugees Committee at St Helen’s Park Road, and Mrs Smout’s Seaweed Shop on Trinity Street, which served as the headquarters of the Hastings Branch of the Women’s Social and Political Union in the early 1900s.
