It also referenced Policy SP9, which designates a Flood Storage Capacity Improvement Area at the Clive Vale Local Wildlife Site, and noted that the culvert south of Gurth Road would discharge directly into the sea via an outfall east of the Harbour Arm, With reference to HS18, the development of Tilekiln Fields; could the Council clarify who would be responsible for financing any off-site flood mitigation works arising from the development of this site?

Additionally, Policy SP9 designates a Flood Storage Capacity Improvement Area at Clive Vale Local wildlife site to support improvements to existing areas of flood risk along the path of the stream. The Bourne Stream enters a culvert south of Gurth Road, which discharges directly into the sea from an outfall located East of the Harbour Arm. Flood risk to the Old Town from the Bourne Stream is therefore judged unlikely.
