This financial year we are investing significantly in active travel improvements at the Station Approach/Devonshire Road/Havelock Road junction as well as commencing the multi-million Hastings Town Centre Green Connections scheme, focused on the Havelock Road/Harold Place corridor as well as Wellington Place, which will enhance the public realm and create an active travel/public transport route from the rail station through the town centre to Hastings seafront.

Appendix 3 - Fees and Charges 2026-27 - Combined Narrative

1.25 On street parking is as high as £3.40 (previously £3.20) for one hour in the Old Town during the summer with town centre prices varying from £3.40 (also previously £3.20) for one hour in Wellington Square and £2.35 (previously £2.20) for one hour in Devonshire Road. There is an exception though, the on-street prices at the back of the White Rock Theatre and along Carlisle Parade are in a low tariff zone where parking is £0.70 (previously £0.65) for an hour.
